Champions Academic Challenge: Al-Qurraa’ Students Demonstrate Excellence and Determination
Al-Qurraa’ College successfully held the Champions Academic Challenge, a special mid-term academic assessment designed to strengthen students’ study habits, measure consistent progress, and encourage excellence through personalized learning goals.
Unlike regular examinations, the Champions Academic Challenge assesses students across six core subjects, and each learner is evaluated not just by raw scores, but by a unique benchmark known as their APT – Academic Performance Target.
What Is APT?
At the beginning of each term, every student receives an individualized APT based on their past academic record.
-
High-performing students receive higher targets (e.g., 85–95) to stretch their abilities.
-
Average or developing learners receive realistic, motivating targets tailored to help them grow.
This system ensures fairness, motivation, and meaningful improvement for every child - no matter their starting point.
Performance Titles to be Awarded
Based on the results from Wednesday’s challenge:
🏆 CHAMPIONS – Students who met or surpassed their highest APT (usually 90 and above)
🎓 SCHOLARS – Students who scored within the excellent range (80–89)
🌟 RISING STARS – Students who met or exceeded their personal APT, even if their score falls below the scholar band
