Dear Distinguished Audience,
Ma’hdul Furqaan Institute for Arabic and Islamic studies is a brainwork of a group of Muslim Intellectuals. It was founded in September 2022, with sole aim of filling the existing gap in Islamic training of a Muslim child, which quite often are devoid of pristine Islamic understanding, morals and disposition. The school is envisioned to be a degree awarding tertiary Institute of Arabic and Islamic studies in the nearest future, with a strategic growth plan from primary (Ibtidaa’i), secondary (Idaadi & Thanawi) through to the tertiary (Jaami’a) stage.
The curriculum developed and in use at present is an amalgam of Egyptian, Sudanese and Saudi Arabia educational system for primary (Ibtidaa’i) and post primary (Idaadi and Thanawi) schools. It was well designed by a team of education professionals, such that, graduates of our school can fit perfectly into tertiary Institutions of any of the Muslim countries after the completion of their secondary school education.
Our school is running a day program with season professional tutors of minimum of Bachelor degree in Education. Our subject ranges from: Qur’an (Hifz, Tajweed, Tafseer), Hadith, Aqeedah and Tawheed, Fiqh, Seerah, Mahfudha, Qawaai’d (Arabiyyah, Nahwu, Sarf), tajweed, Khattu wal Imlah, Qira’a. The school is well structured with established Board of trustees, who are responsible for giving appropriate policy direction to the school at every point in time. In addition, there’s a code of conduct unit that regulates the conducts of both the staff and the student in general. This ensures that discipline is maintained always within the school system.
Our quality assurance unit maintains the standard of our core values. The school organizes co-curricular activities, such as portfolio presentations, field trip / excursion, competitions, shumuliyah / dawah activism, vocational / entrepreneurship skill acquisition (Arabic calligraphy), computer skills and Sports.
Our calendar year is in tandem with that of conventional schools in Lagos State. At Ma’hdul Furqaan, we view education as social service venture, as well as an important tool for nation’s building. As such, it requires adequate funding at the teething stage to be self-sustaining.
